The Summer Theatre Festival of Clarkstown  is a non-profit 501C organization, in its 36th year, which exposes area High School students to the art of theatre production. Our  program operates during the summer months, Monday through Friday and is located in West Nyack, Rockland County, New York. The Clarkstown Summer Theatre Festival is off to a BIG, EXCITING start!  Please join us as we kick-off-the-summer!

WHAT: ORIENTATION 

WHEN: Friday evening, May 9th from 5:45p to 8:30p

WHERE: Clarkstown South High School in West Nyack, NY in the back cafeteria

WHO:   All CSTF participating students and parents should attend.   

WHY:  It’s our Summer Kick-off event!!

At this program, students who have not yet registered may do so!  
 


ORIENTATION SCHEDULE:


5:45 pm: Welcome words from the Co-Presidents.
                CSTF Mission Statement.
                Introduction of CSTF Board and professional staff to parents and Students.
6:00 pm: Joe Egan and staff will talk to parents and students.
6:20 pm: Students stay in the cafeteria with Joe Egan and staff to talk about the
                program and requirements for auditions. At least one board member will be
                present to facilitate.
6:20 pm: Parents are invited to adjacent cafeteria to meet with board members for
               information about CSTF program, from handbook, timeline of activities
               committee chairs explain their back stage committees, help needed and
               ask parents to volunteer and sign for committees of their choice.
7:00 pm: Student advisory do ice breaker games.
               Parents return to cafeteria and do registration .
               Announcement of poster contest winner.
               Senior scholarships announced.
8:00 pm: Light refreshments. This is also an opportunity for parents and students
               to ask questions.
8:30pm: Session ends.

Everyone— if you know anyone who is thinking of joining CSTF for this summer, PLEASE let them know about this evening’s program, and invite them!  Simply forward this email, or print it out and give it to your friends.  If you or anyone you know has not registered for CSTF yet, come Friday May 9th, learn about the exciting summer we have planned— and sign up then!  And bring some friends to sign up too!

ANNOUNCING OUR POSTER CONTEST WINNER!

Congratulations to Benlin Alexander a senior at Clarkstown South High School. He  is the winner of our 2008 poster contest. Ben will receive $100.00 in cash, a t-shirt plus two tickets to "Carousel". His poster will appear on the Playbill cover, t-shirts and of course on all of the posters.
